Gilbert Joseph Isadore, 52, of 14 Katie’s Lane, Wagmatcook First Nation, passed away peacefully at home, May 6, 2012.
Born in Baddeck, N.S., he was the son of the late Levi and Mary (Googoo) Isadore.
He was a member of Queen of The World Church, Wagmatcook First Nation.
Gilbert liked fishing, visiting with friends, music and watching old movies.
He is survived by his partner, Maxine York; brothers, James Peter Googoo, Walter (Katherine) Isadore and Fredrick Isadore; and many nephews and nieces. He is also survived by one godchild, Katelyn Ann Isadore.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Rodrick Isadore and sister, Sharah May Bright.
Visitation will begin Thursday, May 10 at 7 p.m. at the Walter Isadore residence, 23 Katie’s Lane, Wagmatcook. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the Queen of the World Church with Fr. Awjit officiating. Burial will at the Queen of the World Cemetery. After the service a feast and salite will follow at the Wagmatcook Culture Centre.
