It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eugene Pike announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his loving wife of 50 years Betty; son Darryl (Nola); daughters: Donna Wells (Glen) and Debbie McHugh (Dave); grandchildren: Natalie and Neil Wells, D.J. Pike, Becky and Evan McHugh; brothers: Les (Mildred), George (Wanda), Everett Lidstone (Joan); sisters: Vera Lidstone, Daffodil Wareham and Sylvia Wilton; sisters-in-law: Blanche Pike "Babs" and Dorothy Pike; special staff of the 5th Floor, Mowbray Place, WMRH, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by son David (1986); father George; mother Susannah; brothers Joe and Wes. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 26th at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church in Curling with Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or to Memorial United Church.
