Passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 9, 2012 at Extendicare in Moose Jaw, SK. Jean at the age of 90, was predeceased by her husband Alex (2002), grandsons Rob and Joe Eldstrom (2006), and by 12 of her siblings. She will be lovingly missed by her children Doris Ritsco (Ray), Vernon, Sandra Wiebe (Harold), and Paul (Elfriede). She will also be lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Jean was born on Sept 4, 1921 near Caron, SK to Fred and Maude McIntyre. She grew up on the family farm and attended the Royal George Schoolhouse. She married Alex Sapergia in 1940 and they raised their 4 children and ranched together in the Lillestrom District until retirement in 1997. They then moved to live with their son in Castor, AB, but returned to Moose Jaw in 2000. Jean enjoyed gardening and music. She loved to sing and dance. She enjoyed the many entertainers that came to Chez Nous and Extendicare where she spent her last 7 years. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Parkview Funeral Chapel.
