At the Western Hospital, Alberton on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 of Leila Jean Leard of Alberton and formerly of Rosebank age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late T. Fred Leard. Born in Rosebank, P.E.I on July 23, 1914 she was the daughter of the late Lester and Margaret (nee Gordon) Profitt. She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Mary (Wendell) Oulton of Brae; Enid (Bill) Van Beek of B.C.; Lorna Bugatch of Ottawa, Ont; Ron (Elaine) Leard of Summerside; Norma Serheniuk of Barrie, Ont; Lorna Bugatsch of Nepean, Ont; Pauline (Edmund) Moldenhauer of Ont. She is also survived by several grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, an infant son and by a brother Heber (Late Verna) Profitt as well as two nieces, Lorraine (Late Winston) Rayner of Cascumpec and Lois (Late Lea) Stewart of Rosebank. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton until Thursday morning December 24, then to the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton for funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. John A.C. Wilson officiating. Interment in Wood Lawn Cemetery, Alberton.
