Charles Joseph LeBlanc
Charles Joseph LeBlanc, age 96, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. DuMont Hospital, Moncton on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009.
Born in St. André, N.B., he was a son of the late Hypolite and Amanda (Richard) LeBlanc.
Charles worked for the Fawcett Foundry for 39 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Elaine (Jean Louis) Lirette, Cocagne, N.B.; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister Doris (Kenneth-deceased) Hicks, Sackville.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Louise Auffrey; sisters, Lila (Ernest) Lirette, Bertha (Burns) Garland, Lena (Raymond) LeBlanc, and Louise (Bud) Ball; brothers, Leon (May) and Gerald (Yvonne).
Arrangements were entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, N.B. (506-364-1300) where visiting hours were held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Mass was celebrated from St. Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 2 p.m., Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
