Passed peacefully away on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 surrounded by his loving family Gorman Benjamin Payne at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, in his 89 year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Elsie may Payne of 68 years , his daughters; Jocelyn (Derek) Biggin of Pasadena, NL, Rowena (Rev. Bill) Rice of St,John's, NL, Norma (Selby) Sooley of Rocky Hr, NL, & Shelia (Herman) Perry of St,John's, NL. his sons; Colin of Daniel's Hr, NL, Bryant (Rose) of Cambridge, Ontario, Trevor (Olga) of Wabush, Labrador, Charlie (Janie) & David (Jackie) both of Cow Head, his 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, & 3 step great grandchildren, his sister; Mrs. Mary House, brother; Henry (Linda) Payne, sister in law; Mrs. Leah Knott, brother in law; Bryant (Elizabeth) Payne, also leaving to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends, father was predeceased by his parents; Jesse & Edith Payne, sisters; Gertie, Emma, Beatrice, & Greta, brothers; Gordon, Samuel, Thomas, & Hayward, mother & father in law; Mary Ann & Norman Payne, sister in laws; Hilda, & Hazel, & brother in laws; Leslie, Reg, Obediah, Freeman, Ellis, & Sandy. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Holy Cross Anglican Church in Daniel's Hr, NL, today, Monday, May 14th, 2012, from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Tuesday, May 15th, 2012 at 2:00 pm, with Canon: Jean Brenton Hickman, & Rev: Bill Rice officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Daniel's Hr, NL.
