It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful daughter, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Patty Kendall age 60, of Georges River, on Monday May 14, 2012, at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of Guy and Jessie Bailey of Sydney Mines.
She is also survived by her loving husband, Austin Kendall of 38 years; her two sons, Jason (Newfoundland), Michael (Kerry) Mount Uniacke; also the pride and joy of her life; her only grandson, Owen Kendall; her sisters, Elizabeth Swan, Elaine (Joe) Boutilier, North Sydney, Debbie (Gary) Pyke, Dartmouth; two brothers, Lawrence (Yvonne) Bailey, North Sydney and Kevin Bailey, Sydney Mines.
She was predeceased by her brother James Guy ‘Butch’ Bailey. Patty was a kind, gentle lady and loved by all who knew her. She had a wonderful way about her and she will be deeply and sadly missed. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Peppett Street, North Sydney.
There will be no visitation for Patty at the request of the family. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service in honour of Patty for family and friends, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, North Sydney, with Lloyd Steeves officiating. A graveside service will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney. A reception will be held at St. Matthew Wesley United Church following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church Roof Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
Thank you to the doctors and wonderful nursing staff at the Northside General Hospital.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
