Passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital on December 23, 2009, Frances (Fanny) Keeping of St. John’s formerly of Rencontre East, age 88. Predeceased by her husband Waldron Keeping. Leaving to mourn her five children: Flora Smith (Bert), Gladys Vivian (Herb), Philip Keeping (Eleanor), Doreen Fitzpatrick (Joe) and Ellen Stevenson (Derek); also her fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; brother Cal Mullins (Pat); sister Shirley Tibbo; sister-in-law Ethel Keeping; brothers-in-law: Roy Keeping (Inez) and Hiram Keeping; and a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation on Thursday, December 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, December 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held at The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 26 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
