Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s in the presence of his loving wife and children on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, Maxwell ‘Max’ Spurrell of Harbour Grace South, age 78 years. Predeceased by parents: Francis and Minnie Spurrell; brother: Chesley; brothers-in-law: Hayward Noseworthy and Edward Yetman; sisters-in-law: Mary Yetman and Ada Yetman; parents-in-law: Robert and Ida Yetman. Left to mourn, wife: Stella; one son: Keith (Sharon), Ontario; one daughter: Nancy, Nova Scotia; two sisters: Mary Noseworthy, St. John’s and Carol (Sam) Rose, Salmon Cove; sisters-in-law: Lenora Yetman, New Brunswick and Beulah Spurrell, Harbour Grace South; brothers-in-law: Robert Yetman and Grant (Lillian) Yetman, both of Harbour Grace South and Phillip 'Cron' (Betty) Yetman, Ontario; also other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Rev. Hugh Fudge conducted the funeral service on Saturday, May 19 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace South. Interment took place in St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace South. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace South.
