It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we, the family of John Gasper Kaytar, announce his passing on Dec. 23, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hungary, he was the son of the late Vilmos and Borbalo Kaytar.
He was the owner of Kaytar Landscaping, working in Sydney with his sons for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carolyn (MacDonald) Kaytar; children, Barbara (Peter) Malevitch, Dutch Brook, Kelly, Sydney, John Jr. (Kerri), Sydney, Glen, Arichat; five grandchildren, Colin, Brittany, John Jr., Jessica and Sebastian; sisters, Veronica (Fred) Schmeiss, Buffalo, Theresa Horvath; brothers, Boldizar, Louis (Dianne), Joseph (Madelyn), William Jr. (Darlene) and Lawrence, all of Ontario. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his two brothers, Paul and Lawrence.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 at S.W Chant & Son Funeral Home chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney.
