Age 87 years, of St. John’s, Newfoundland passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, L. A. Miller Centre, St. John’s on December 25th, 2009. Born in Musgrave Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ada Abbott. She is survived by her son, James (Pearl) Abbott, grandson Derrick (Elaine) Abbott and family, granddaughter Karen (Graham) Abbott and family; sisters Laura Guy, Alberta Abbott, and Beryl Hoddinott; nephews Roland (Agnes) Hoddinott, Paul (Donna) Hoddinott, Terry (Renee) Hoddinott, niece Sharon (Chris) Grainger, and their families. Sadie will be resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, December 27th, 2009, from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral service to take place at Barrett’s Chapel on Monday, December 28th, 2009 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Musgrave Harbour, N.L. on Wednesday, December 30th, 2009.
