Passed peacefully away on December 24, 2009 at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home in the presence of her family, Elizabeth (Betty) Kuhn, age 78 years. Predeceased by her parents Ambrose and Mabel and baby sister Barbara Irene. Betty lived most of her married years in the United States, however when she became ill she chose to return to her beloved Newfoundland to spend the “evening” of her life. Left to cherish their memories are her husband of over 50 years, Raymond; daughters: Janet and Beverley; son, David all residents of Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.; brothers: Fr. Michael, Gerald (Mary), Bill (Cathy); sisters: Joan Hatfield (Ben), Olive, Lorraine, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends especially those at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the sisters and staff at the Home. Cremation has taken place. Requiem Eucharist will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. from St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home or St. Michael’s New Church Building Fund.
