(1929 – 2009) — Passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday December 23rd, 2009, Edward James Morrissey, age 80 years. Predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Ann Morrissey; sisters: Mary O’Leary and Margaret Pearcey; brothers: Kenneth and Thomas. Leaving to mourn daughter, Mary Ann (Gerald Spracklin); sons: Edward (Veronica) and Robert (Susan); grandchildren: Damien and Kate Spracklin, Mackenzie and Miranda Morrissey; sisters: Ernestine Grant, Helen (Nell) Howell and Ursula Collins; brothers: Frank and Patrick (Merlie); also a wide circle of nephews and nieces. Cremation has taken place at Edward’s request. A period of visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A committal service will take place at the Columbarium at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
