Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Escasoni Home, St. John’s, on Thursday, December 24, 2009, Maryann Penney of New Perlican, age 91 years. Predeceased by husband: John; daughter: Norma (Howard); sister: Lorna Warren and brothers: Merle and Monroe White. Leaving to mourn, three sons: Melvin Penney (Jean), Toronto, Ont., Gordon (Huldah) and Henry (Shirley), both of St. John’s; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, New Perlican with visitation hours on Saturday, Dec. 26 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, December 28 at 2 p.m. from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, New Perlican.
