The death occurred peacefully at Perrin's Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, P.E.I. , on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, of George Edgar Nichols, of Summerside, aged 87 years. George was born in Rossway, N.S., on June 3, 1921, to his late parents, Horace and Cecile (Sabean) Nichols. Beloved husband of Vivian (nee Rose) Nichols and loving father of Daniel (Elaine) of Toronto, Ont., Jim (Anne) of Lower Bedeque and Bonita Nichols of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Survived by the following sisters: Lida Prime of Peterborough, Ont., Winona Balser of N.S. and Janice Trimper of Ont. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his son Richard and his brother Arthur of Rossway, N.S.. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, Oct. 6, for funeral service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Taylor Rd., North Bedeque, at 7 p.m.. Interment to take place in the Kingdom Hall Cemetery, Alberton. No visiting hours by family request.
