ARCHER, DOUGLAS MURRAY - The death of Douglas Murray Archer, husband of Dora (Hutchins), occurred on May 20, 2012 after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John on December 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Bell) Archer. He is also survived by his son Mark Archer; daughter Michele (Rodney) Britten; grandsons Adam and Geoffrey Archer; and sister Betty Arseneau. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by all of his four brothers Gordon, Ken, Don, and Bob; and infant granddaughter Stephanie Britten. He was a plumber/pipefitter and a member of Union Local 213.
Arrangements entrusted to Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home (634-1701). There will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Doug's name may be made to the charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be placed at
