Catherine Denham Liddell On January 3, 2008 Catherine Liddell passed away at the age of 89 years. Catherine was born to James and Janet Taylor in Glasgow, Scotland September 30, 1918. Catherine and her husband Willie came to Kamloops from Glasgow to join their daughter Janet in 1967. Kamloops became her home and she made many friends. She hated wasps and mosquitoes but really enjoyed the theatre, reading, playing crib, and debating. She loved being a part of her grandchildren's lives and they loved being with her. Wee Nanny had a big heart. Catherine will be missed by her loving daughter Janet (Ian), son Jim (Essex, England), grandchildren Stephen (Andrea), Taylor (Willow) and three great grandchildren Emma, Ethan, and Carson. She was predeceased by her husband Willie in 1974 and her sister Peggy in 2004. Janet and her family would like to thank all the care givers at Ponderosa Lodge that provided care to Catherine. Special thanks are given to Karen, Terry, Vercille, and Veronica for providing comfort with dignity and treating Wee Nanny like a friend during her stay at Ponderosa Lodge.
