January 7, 1930 - May 20, 2012. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, May 20, 2012, Rev’d James Miller of Green’s Harbour, formally of New Bonaventure in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Susanna Miller; parents-in-law, Samuel and Florence Harnum; brother-in-law, Ronald Harnum; nephew, Howard Harnum; sisters-in-law, Hazel (Howard) Smith, Vida (Elliott)Button and best friends, Chester (Janet) Miller. Leaving to mourn are his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Myra; sister-in-law, Doris Harnum and his nephews and nieces, who will remember him each in a very special way; as well as the many friends and acquaintances he gained through his teaching career and ministry in Newfoundland and his longlong time membership with the Society of United Fishermen (SUF), Saint George’s Lodge #60, Queen Alexandra Lodge #6, Past District Grand Secretary, Past Grand Chaplain and Past Supreme Grand Master. Resting at St. Matthew`s Anglican Church, Green`s Harbour on Monday, May 21st with visitation from 8:00pm until the time of the funeral. The funeral service will be held from St. Matthew`sChurch, Green’s Harbour on Wednesday, May 23rd at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. Matthew’s Church Memorial Fund, Green’s Harbour.
