ADAM On January 9 2008, Mr. James (Jim) William Adam passed away peacefully at home in Kamloops at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his daughter Sheila-Marie (David) Martin of Medicine Hat, Alberta, his two sons Bill (Linda) Adam of Calgary, Alberta and Bob (Karen) Adam of Edson, Alberta and eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a brother and a sister. Jim was predeceased by his wife, Joy in 1996, his parents, brother, brother in law, mother & father in law and daughter in law. Jim was born and raised in New Westminster, B.C. He served in the Canadian Navy from 1944 - 1946. Jim and Joy were married in June 1952 and raised their three children in Edson where Jim worked for Transmountain Pipelines. They then moved to Kamloops in 1983 and retired there in 1985. Jim was a life-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Jim's life was lived to the fullest and every day was an adventure going somewhere. He will be sadly missed by his family and an abundance of friends, all who were so very important to him!
