DOROTHY MAE WHYTE December 16, 1940 - January 14, 2008 Dorothy passed away peacefully at Ashcroft Hospital with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her mother Evelyn Rothwell, brother Tom Harkin (Australia), step-sister Louise Barnard (Maple Ridge), her three children Tim (Denise) Nanaimo, Peggy (Leonardo) Medicine Hat, Audrey (Don) Nanaimo, seven grandchildren. Predeceased by her Dad and Step-dad Rocky. Dorothy was born in Vancouver and raised in Hope until she met & married Herb in February 1958. Even though she was busy raising her children she always found the time to lend a helping hand cooking baking and volunteering for school events, Girl Guides, Ladies Auxiliary and spending time with her friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 19th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thompson Valley Funeral Home. Tea to follow at the Ashcroft/Cache Creek Senior Centre. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a Charity of Choice.
