Noble "Clayton" Williston

WILLISTON, NOBLE "CLAYTON" - Mr. Noble “Clayton” Williston, husband of Betty (MacLean) Williston of Henderson Street, Miramichi, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Miramichi Senior Citizens Home at the age of 87. Born in Bayside, NB, he was the son of the late Jonathan “Noble” and Florence (Murdock) Williston. He was a retired carpenter for the Department of National Defence and a member of Douglastown Senior Citizens Club. Besides his wife Betty, Clayton is survived by his daughter, Tammy Gouchie (Kirk) of Miramichi; his sons, Craig (Cathy) of Miramichi Bay, and Kirby (Wendy) of Regina, SK; his son-in-law, Michael Doucette of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Charles (Ashley) of South Porcupine, ON, Kara Williston of Halifax, NS, and Miranda and Tyler Gouchie of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Shauna Williston Doucette; one infant grandson, Kyle Williston; his brother, Leland Williston; and his sisters, Mary “Mayme” Jenkins, and Frances “Toy” Smith.
Mr. Clayton Williston is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, with visitation on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from the funeral home chapel at 2pm with James Abbot and Daniel Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Loggieville. In memory of Clayton, donations to the Pine Grove Cemetery, the New Brunswick Lung Association or to a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
