The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Friday, May 25, 2012, of Margaret Compton, of Summerside, aged 96 years.
Born in Rose Valley, she was the daughter of the late James and Christina (Thomas) Todd. Survived by her children Etta Burch, Summerside; Doris (Bob) Peterson, Oyster Bed Bridge; Violet (Lloyd) Banks, Kensington; Charles Compton, Summerside; Lea (Judy) Compton, Mill River; Wayne (Anne) Compton, St. Eleanors; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Hazel Frizzell, Summerside; Thelma Fookes, Calgary, AB; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Reginald Compton; brothers Samuel, Ewen and Earl Todd; sisters Olive Todd, Annie Frizzell, Katie Edwards, Ella Sherren and Violet Mayne; son-in-law Donald Burch; and by great-granddaughter Haleigh Thibeau.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Eleanors. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
