Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, of Alice Mary Gallant-Blanchard, formally of Piusville, age 84 years. Born in Bloomfield, P.E.I., on Dec. 3, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Octave and Margaret Arsenault Blanchard. She was predeceased by her first husband Vincent Gallant in 1992 and by her second husband Edgar Blanchard in 1999. Lovingly remembered by her children Bonnarae (David) Sentner of Piusville, Muncey (Judy) of Piusville, Wayne (Joyce) of Piusville, Brenda (Laverne) Drost of Nackawic, Wanda (Russell Jr.) Boylan of West Devon, Beverley (Barry) Gallant of Piusville, Rebecca (Eddie) Gallant of Howlan, Paula (Billy Chaisson) of Palmer Road, Sherry (Shane) Blanchard of Toronto. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren as well as her 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Eddie (Grace) Blanchard of Howlan, Emma (Ed) Boyd of Ancaster, Ont. Yvonne (Jerry) Beaupre of Ancaster Ont. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Joan Blanchard of Bloomfield, Marcia (Louis) Gaudet of O'Leary. She was also predeceased by a son in law Keith Mallett brother Francis Blanchard and by sisters Mae Peters and Mary Edith in infancy. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday afternoon from St. Anthony's Church, Woodstock, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Maplewood Manor Residence Fund or to St. Anthony's Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
