It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Lomond announces her passing on Saturday
May 26, 2012 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 88 years. Born at Grand Bay, Lillian was the daughter of the late Samuel and Julia Matthews. She was also predeceased by her husband Stanley, daughters Cora, Shirley Osmond, Jane Lillington, brothers Charles Matthews, Thomas (Maude) Matthews, sister Mary Elizabeth, step-mother Elizabeth Matthews, son-in-laws Ralph Osmond, Tom Carter. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving family; children Julia Carter, Catherine Osmond, Andrew (Debbie) Lomond Samuel (Elizabeth) Lomond, Calvin Lomond all of Grand Bay. Wilfred Lomond (Elaine Carter) Pasadena NL, Susie (Jerry) Osmond Grand Bay with whom she resided, daughter-in-law Betty Alley, son-in-laws Harold Osmond, George Lillington, sister Mary Noseworthy, sister-in-law Susie Matthews, brother-in-law Russell (Pearl) Lomond, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, special friend Marie Dicks and a large circle of nephews, nieces and many many friends. Visitation took place on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Tuesday May 29, 2 PM at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay officiated by Rev. Louise Richards. Interment followed at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bay.
