At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, of Lloyd Sherry of Fernwood, aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Patricia (Johnston) Sherry. Born on Aug. 8, 1928, Lloyd was a son of the late George Sherry and the late Florence (Hamill) Sherry. Father of Donna (Ron) MacDonald of Fernwood. Grandfather of David and Tracey MacDonald, Sherry, Duane, Shanice, Shalene and Darien. Also survived by a great-grandchild, Hunter MacDonald. Predeceased by son, David Sherry, and by a sister Kathleen and a brother-in-law Joseph Murphy and brothers- and sisters-in-law Brendon (Vera) Sherry, Edgar (Frances) Sherry and Rowen (survived by his wife Mae). Also survived by a sister Helen (the late Arnold Murray). Also predeceased by in-laws Thomas and (Hilda) Johnston, Ben and Catherine Peters, Joseph and Clara Johnston, Lawrence and Loretta Johnston, George (survived by wife Helen Johnston) and Zita (late Cedric) McKenna. Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Visiting hours Thursday, Oct. 9, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, Oct. 10, leaving the funeral home at 10 a.m. then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made in Lloyd's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Peter's Church cemetery fund.
