Nancy Dewar, 80, of North River, Colchester County, passed away on Christmas Day at home with her family by her side.
Nancy hailed from Scotland and spent many years in Ontario before retiring to Nova Scotia.
Surviving is her husband John “Jack,” children, grandchildren, and friends who will remember Nancy as a generous and caring person with a sense of humour. Nancy dedicated her life to others as a nurse, nursery school teacher and tireless church and a cancer society volunteer.
A service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, at St. David’s United Church, Bible Hill at 10:30 am with Rev. Ebbie Snow officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro.
