It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eugene Wells announce his passing at his family residence on Monday, May 28th, 2012 at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn his loving children: Hughie, Sandra (Kevin), Roddie, all of Surrey, B.C., Shawn (Lisa), St. Anthony, Michele, Deer Lake, Sherry (Tammy), St. John’s, and Shannon (Amanda), Labrador City; beloved grandchildren: Stephen, Kaila, Taylor, Christina, Jae, Sara, Jordan, Amber, and Beau; siblings: Frank (Joan) Wells, Jean (Roland) Dawe; sister-in-law Shirley Wells, all of Deer Lake, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family would like to express thanks to Joan Pelley, Eugene’s homecare worker, for her special kindness, loving care and unending support during his illness. He was predeceased by his wife Kay, brother Lindy and parents Theophilus and Beulah Wells. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Deer Lake on Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 31st at 10:30 am from St. Paul’s United Church, Reverend Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Interment will follow at the family plot on Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Lung Association or to St. Paul’s United Church.
