DAHL – Mr. Mervin Andrew passed away peacefully in Prince Albert with family members by his side on December 28, 2009 at the age of 84 years. He was born on the family farm near Weldon, SK. In 1950 he married Mildred Hjertaas. They farmed together and he also served as councilor for the R.M. of Kinistino. Dad was very proud of the fact that in 2007 the farm had been in the family for over 100 years. In 1962 the family moved to Prince Albert. Dad began a 20 year career as administrator of the newly formed Community Clinic and was very involved in the planning and design of the new clinic. In 1994 while in Arizona Dad met Edna Fisher. They were married November 11th 1995 and have spent 14 very happy years wintering in Mesa and at Emma Lake in the summer. They had a passion for golf and were able to play both summer and winter. He is survived by his wife Edna, son Keith (Janet) Dahl and their sons Kevin (Lori MacIntosh), Erik and Jason, daughter Christie (Ron) Swenson and their daughters Jill Swenson and Kelly (Landon) Switzer. Dad was predeceased by his first wife Mildred, parents Oliver and Thilda Dahl, brother Roy Dahl and sister Orva Anderson. Special thank you to Dr. Hookenson for the excellent care you provided for Dad and also to the Level 5 staff at the Victoria Hospital for your wonderful, compassionate care.
