It is with deep regret that the family of Murdock Rozicki announce his passing on Dec. 27, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney Forks, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Campbell) Rozicki.
Murdock was employed with Canadian National Railway until retirement and was an active member of St. Mary’s Church in East Bay.
Murdock is survived by three sisters, Mary Rozicki, Jennie (Buddy) MacIsaac and Theresa (Peter) Briggette, two brothers, John, and Joe (Celina), all of Sydney Forks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Murdock was predeceased by his wife, Hazel (Brown) Rozicki and his sister, Stella. He was also predeceased by his loving dog, Smokey.
Family will be receiving friends at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, one hour before service time.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday Dec. 31, 2009, at S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Fr. Frank Abbass officiating.
