FITZGERALD, DAVID W. - 1941 - 2012 - David W. Fitzgerald of Riverview, passed away peacefully Friday, June 1 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in St. John’s, NL, he was the son of the late Bernard and Florence (Butt) Fitzgerald. David attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9270, a 4th degree member of the Msgr Roy M. McDonald Assembly and a former volunteer at the Capital Theater. David had retired from Canada Post with over 33 years of service. He will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of his wife, Claudia (Landry) Fitzgerald, daughters; Cherie Bingham (Stephen) of Riverview and Carrie Stevens (David) of Ottawa, sister, Elizabeth Toyota (Late Roy) of Ft. Lauderdale, grandchildren; Dylan and Britney. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Barrie.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM, with the parish prayers and sharing of memories to take place at 8:30 from the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Riverview on Friday, June 8 at 11 AM with Father Phil Mulligan presiding.
