Jeanette passed away at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at age 60, five weeks after suffering a heart attack on April 28 at her home in South River.
Leaving to mourn her ever loving husband and best friend of 37 years Gordon. Her two remaining sisters: Betty (Norman, deceased) Kennedy, Isabelle (Stewart) Jones. Her very special niece Lisa Cook (daughter of her deceased sister Ruby (Dick) Cook. Her nephew Derrick and wife Joy. Her best friends of many years Cynthia and Melvin Gregory, Wanda and William Perrin, Ester and Robert Oliver, as well as a large circle of other friends and family. She was pre deceased by her father Frank Rideout and mother Fannie Rideout (nee Dawe). Special thanks to: The Staff of the cardiac units at Health Sciences Centre. Doctor Melvin and his staff. Rev. Canon William Strong. We will all miss Jeanette’s smile and friendly out going personally plus her quick helping hands available to all she knew and loved. Cremation has taken place under the care of Barrett’s Funeral Homes and a short Christian Service will be held at Barrett’s Chapel on Hamilton Avenue after visiting hours from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012. Burial to follow the short service. No flowers by request, but she would be very pleased if a donation in her name can be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
