Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Sunday June 3, 2012, of Allan Joseph Hagen of Hunter River and formerly of Springfield, aged 73 years. Allan was born in Millvale, Nov. 6, 1938, to the late Jack and Lilla (Cahill) Hagen. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marion (Toole) Hagen and son Wilbert. Father to Arnold (Heather) Hagen, Truro, N.S.; Deborah Hagen, Charlottetown; Mary (Alan) Banman, Alexandra and Margaret Hagen, Ottawa, Ont. Loving Grampie to Kandace, Nathan, Bethany, Olivia and Sophia and Great-Grampie to Jack. Allan is survived by brothers and sisters: Anita (Paul) Jay, Charlottetown; Emmett (Stella) Hagen, Kensington; Jean (Tom) Willison, Afton, N.S.; and Paul (Phyllis) Hagen, Hartsville. Predeceased by his younger brother Wilbert. Lovingly remembered by his special friend Louise Gallant, Hunter River, as well as his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Eileen McNamara, Summerside; Joy Toole, Charlottetown; Julia (Brendon) Bell, Charlottetown; Sam Fullerton, Moncton and Roddie MacDonald, Halifax, N.S. Special thanks to Father Paul Egan of St. James Parish, Summerfield, for the kind attention and prayers, the wonderful nurses on Unit 8 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, staff at the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre and “Doctor Andrew”. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, Summerfield, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. James Parish Cemetery.
