Edward “Eddy” S. McMurrer, age 78, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2012, at Prince Edward Home. By entering eternal life, he now joins his parents, John and Catherine McMurrer (Osborne) and his brother Kenny. Eddy leaves to carry on the Lord’s work, his brother Leonard (Debbie) of Stratford, his sister Eileen (G.M. Trainor), Kinkora; his daughters, Edwena Arbuckle, Marina Blanchard and Rowena Shea, and his sons, Ian and Allan, who will have the spiritual guidance from their mom, Christina McMurrer (Sutherland). Also left to hold onto his memory are his 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong neighbours and friends. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, June 6, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 7, at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Seven Mile Bay, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in thechurch cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
