HOGAN, KEVIN GEORGE - Kevin G. Hogan, 79, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L.Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Born in Cumberland, PEI, he was the son of the late Francis and Mary (Gain) Hogan. Kevin was a former store front mechanic in the glass industry for over 30 years and then eventually started his own business in the trade. He attended St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, shell fishing and spending time with his family. Kevin will be sadly missed by his loving children, Kim Saucier (Paul) and Geoff Hogan (Murielle) both of Riverview and Jackie Mitton (Bill) of Moncton; grandchildren, Ryan, Keith, Scott, Ashley, Kyle, Amy, Alex, Daniel, Nicholas, Makayla, Justin, Eric, Jeremy and Brooklyn; brother, Clifford Hogan (Mary) of Cumberland, PEI; sisters, Pauline McKinnon (Paul) of Clyde River, PEI, Marina LeBlanc (Gerry) of Dieppe and Patricia Kelly (Floyd) of Nine Mile Creek, PEI; sisters-in-law, Catherine Hogan and Helen Hogan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Betty (Beers) Hogan (January 2003); daughter, Shelley O’Brien; stepfather, James Dowling; brothers, Philip, Willard and Gerard.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 9:00 am, Rev. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass. Public graveside interment, St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cumberland, PEI at 2:30 pm.
