SCOTCH HILL – Patricia Theresa Marie Battist, 47, of Scotch Hill, Pictou County, passed away June 7, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of Alvin Battist, Scotch Hill and the late Lillian M. (Jones) Battist.
Patricia loved children and had worked as a nanny in Yellowknife before returning home and working at Starting Blocks Daycare and Preschool, Pictou.
Besides her father, she is survived by her sister, Sandra, West Branch; brothers, Dennis (Jean), Scotch Hill; and Brian (Debbie), Yellowknife; niece, Blair; nephew, Ronnie; aunts, Beryl, Audrey, Vera, Jean, Dorothy and special chosen family, Wes, Roxanne, Shelby and Jared Brandvold, Yellowknife.
Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. At her request, cremation will follow and there will be no service. Burial will be at a later date in Scotch Hill Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
