In Loving Memory of Mary Irene Gauthier May 25, 1948 - February 29, 2008 Mary was born in Matheson, Ontario. She married Serge Gauthier in 1967. Their son Eric was born later that year, with daughter Trina following two years later. In 1980 the family moved from Ontario to Kamloops, BC where Mary eventually trained as a hairdresser. She thoroughly enjoyed her 15 years at First Choice Haircutters in North Hills Mall. Through her happiness and friendly smile, she forged many lasting bonds with both her clients and co-workers. With her new found independence she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, friends and her dog Molly. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Trina, her mother Viola, her sisters Patsy (Claude), Dorothy (Randy), Gale (Bob) and brother Fred (Angel) as well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Mary was predeceased by her son Eric in 1987. Mary will be remembered for her constant giggles, infectious smile, love of her daughter Trina and her butterflies which had a very special significance to her. A celebration of Mary's Life will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 177 Tranquille Road. At a later date, her ashes will be interred at Hillside Cemetery with her beloved son Eric.
