PATTERSON, JEAN - The family would like to announce the passing of Jean Elizabeth Patterson, loving wife of the late Donald Patterson, which occurred peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Turnbull Nursing Home. Born 1934 in Hillsdale, NB she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jennie (Tabor) Bradshaw. Jean was an easy going, fun loving woman who enjoyed singing, dancing and writing poetry. She always had a smile for everyone and devoted her life to taking care of her family. She is survived by her children Richard (Jane) Patterson of Grove Hill, Linda (Robert) Jackson and Kathy (Fred) Morton both of Saint John, Pam (Dave) Gardner of Campbell River, BC and Kim (Peter Bass) Patterson of Saint John; one brother Frederic Bradshaw of St. Martin’s; grandchildren Melanie, Melissa, Angela, Amber, Richard, Nicholas, Josie, Sarah, Andrew, Blair, Kiel, Erik and William; great-grandchildren Devon, Emma, Virginia, Maggie, Colby, Conner, Rylan, Marcus and Portia. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Lawson and Wheaton Bradshaw and a sister in infancy Mary Bradshaw.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Bradshaw Cemetery, St. Martin’s.
