Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family and friends at the Health Sciences Complex on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, Ella May Spurrell of St. John’s, aged 80 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories are her loving husband of 59 years Stephen; five children: Robert (Thomasina), Shirley Spurrell, Carolann Somerton (Frank), Loraine (David Tilley); devoted son William James and granddaughter Vicki Hastie (John). Also leaving to mourn are a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends. The family extends their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of 4 North B, Health Sciences Complex for their kind care provided to our Mom. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, December 31st from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, January 2nd at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt.
