Passed away after a lengthy illness on December 29, 2009, William (Bill) James Whiteway, aged 78 of St. John’s. Predeceased by wife Mildred, 1995. Leaving to mourn his sons: Tony (Yvonne), Bernard and Scott (Anne); grandchildren: Annette (Leo), Krista, Melinda (Jon), Brittany, Jordon and Kyle; great-grandchildren: Jazmine, Abigail and Amber; sisters: Lil, Pearl and Jean; brother: Harold (Jean); many other friends and relatives. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. with visitation on Thursday, December 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at 2 p.m. from The Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
