It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Edward MacDonald on Wednesday, June 13, 2012.
Born in Sydney River, Kenny was the son of the late Norman and Jean (MacDonald) MacDonald.
A longtime employee of MT&T, he retired in 2004. Kenny was an avid Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He loved camping, especially in Whycocomagh and Lake Ainslie.
Surviving are his wife, Betty (MacKinnon); sons, Malcolm, Jimmy and Kenny; daughter, Shannon (Jeff) MacDonald; sisters, Catherene, Jackie and MaryLou; brother, Sam; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jim Lynk.
Besides his parents, Kenny was predeceased by his sisters, Norma MacDonald and Sandra Lynk.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the United Protestant Church of Sydney River on Sunday, 2 p.m., with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Interment in Alfred Smith Cemetery.
