ROBERTS Roberts, Margaret "Helen" (nee Richards) willingly and peacefully passed away on March 15th, 2008 in Kamloops, B.C. in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Henry Roberts, predeceased by sisters Bea Forward & Ruth McKenzie, survived by sister Muriel Swanson. Mom's wonderful spirit lives on in her children Ralph Roberts (Louise), Quebec; Georgia Baird (Ernie), Alberta; Keith Roberts (Patricia), Ontario; Heather Davidson (Terry), B.C. With love, Grandma gifted her 12 grandchildren: Lars, Louise, Lea, Terri, Lori, Michael, Ralph, Kevin, Daniel, Tanya, Shawn, and Rebecca - many beautifully sewn clothes and quilted blankets. She will be remembered to her 12 great grandchildren as a terror at cribbage, an amazing baker of desserts, and as a creator of many delicious homemade soups. Mom was a consummate homemaker in the best sense of the word. Born in Beaverlodge, Alberta and raised in Vancouver, she worked at a book bindery, married Dad and became a navy wife. Mom made friends all across Canada with her friendly smile, kind heart and willingness to help others. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school to instill Christian values in her children, was a Cub Scout leader and volunteered with the public health nurse. Mom's hands were rarely idle. Helen had a quiet demeanor; a wonderful and sometimes quirky sense of humor; a strong sense of values and of responsibility; a work ethic that was hard to match, and a very hospitable heart and home. To add some spice she had a stubborn streak. Mom lived by the motto "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." We have all been enriched by Mom's, Grandma's, Great Grandma's life. She was such a special lady! Her gorgeous smile and dignity will always be with us. Rest in Peace! We love you!
