In Loving Memory of RONALD WILLIAM SMITH It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ron Smith on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Royal Inland Hospital. Ron was born in Vancouver, BC on October 27, 1941 and moved to Kamloops in September 2004. Ron was not a scholar but excelled in living life and making many friends along his way. He was retired from Shell Canada, a company he was very proud of. His passions in life were playing softball and umpiring, he enjoyed curling, shuffleboard, gambling at the slot machines, and his model trains. Ron was also a member of the Heritage Model Railway Club. He was a friendly outgoing person and quite a talker. All who had the privilege of knowing Ron will dearly miss him. Ron is survived by his best friend and partner of 27 years, Sue (Sandra) Scott; his daughter Barbara McKrae and her children Tyson and Jordan; daughter Janice (Mario) Kovarik and their children Courtney and Amanda; step-son Michael (Mari) Scott and his son Mikaere and his brother Dennis Smith as well as many close friends. A Memorial Service for Ron will be held at a later date in Vancouver.
