REMMIE On Monday April 7, 2008, Maxine Fern Remmie suddenly passed away at the age of 73. She is survived by her loving husband and friend, Dewayne, her daughters Deb (Tom) Cyr, granddaughters Stevie and Danielle and Lori (Bill) Skene, grandchildren Cody, Kate and Tyson. Maxine is also survived by sisters Evelyn, Kay, Elenor, Vi and Diane, and brothers Claire, Lloyd and Art. Born in Carnduff, Saskatchewan on August 4, 1934 Maxine later moved to Calgary, where she and Dewayne married and resided for 30 years. Maxine worked for Palm Dairies and the National Parole Board before moving to Kamloops in 1981. She then worked for UIC until she retired in 1994. Dewayne and Maxine owned Heavenly Muffins in the Thompson Park Mall from 1994-2000. Maxine will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was the rock of the family, she will be missed dearly.
