Peacefully at his late residence on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, Mr. Richard E. “Dick” Hennessey of Charlottetown in his 79th year.
Beloved husband of Joan P. (nee Moore) Hennessey and dear father of Joanne (Paul) Coady, Mike (Lynette) Hennessey and Terry (Cathy Ann) Hennessey. He is also survived by seven loving grandchildren Kristin (Dave) Pratt, Jeremy (Lisa Roy) Coady, Lisa, Lucas and Alex Hennessey and Nicholas and Katie Hennessey; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Spencer and Madison; brother-in-law, Ernest Moore.
He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Florence (nee Dunn) Hennessey; brothers, Ernest “Bud” and Earl Hennessey; sister, Frances “Fannie” McKeigan.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until Friday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I. or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
