Passed in: British Columbia, Canada

CONNORS Mrs. Ruth Iona Connors-nee McKenzie-Padley-McKay, born December 24, 1913 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away January 19, 2008 in Kamloops. It is with mixed feelings of joy and sorrow that we say goodbye to our mother. Her wishes were to go "Home". She leaves to mourn her three loving children; Garry (Annette), Barbara (Jack), Barron (Carol) 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by husbands David H. Padley, Fred McKay and Eric Connors and her loving daughter Leta Mather. Having lived and worked through the dirty thirties, she raised three children while her husband was away during WWII. These were very hard and hungry times, but we all made it. Thank-you, mom. In her later years, she enjoyed to sing and dance and "entertained" her many friends and staff at the Lodge. She was a spunky lady, and we miss her. Major Martin Ketteringham will conduct the Memorial Service in the Schoening Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow, Hillside Cemetery. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 344 Poplar St., Kamloops, B.C. V2B 4B8 in memory of Ruth Connors. Schoening Funeral Service, 513 Seymour St., in care of arrangement. Ph. 374-1454
