KAREN JOYCE BOSTOCK 1956 - 2008 Karen Bostock of Kamloops, BC passed away suddenly on April 12, 2008. She leaves to mourn, her parents Ken and Pearl, brothers and sisters Kim (Julia), Shelley, Susan, and Jordie (Faith); many aunts, uncles and cousins. Karen was born in Princeton, BC on October 30, 1956. She started her schooling in Princeton and completed her education at Arthur Hatton and graduated from NorKam after her family moved to Kamloops. She was the first girl to be hired for the pit at Highmont Mines and also became a truck driver. After the mine closed down she upgraded her education and graduated from B.C.I.T. with honours in her field. Karen was a very active girl, she loved mountain climbing, skiing, hiking and camping. She travelled and worked extensively until her health overtook her. For the last few years, Karen was a lunchtime supervisor at various schools, something she truly loved doing, and the children loved her. Her family will miss her dearly A Family Service will be held at a later date. Donations in Karen's memory may be made to the house of Ruth, 290 Maple St., Kamloops, BC V2B 4A8.
