MARION STRETCH June 27, 1932 - April 16, 2008 Marion passed away peacefully on April 16, 2008 after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Cancer. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and a doting grandmother and great grandmother. Marion will be sadly missed by Stan, her loving husband of 56 years; her Children: Gary, Brian (Gwen), Kelvin (Debbie), Valerie (Cory), Floyd, Sandy (Marc); her eight Grandchildren: Rob, Stacey, Jonathan, Stephanie, Jennifer, Greg, Kevin, Holly, Kayle, Jeramie, Mathew, Steven as well as eight Great Grandchildren. Marion was predeceased by her four brothers and three sisters. Marion was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan moving to Edmonton in 1956 and to Kamloops in 1976. Marion worked at Woodward's for 10 years prior to embarking on a 25 year career with the family printing business, Thompson Valley Printing. Marion retired from her working career in 1998 to enjoy some wonderful days golfing with friends and family. Her determination, passion and skill earned her 4 Hole-in-one pins from the Pineridge Golf course. Marion was a great cook and everyone enjoyed her Sunday dinners complete with fresh, homemade buns. A celebration of Marion's life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Schoenings Funeral Home, 513 Seymour Street; Phone 374-1454. The family sends their very special thanks to the Ponderosa Lodge and the Kamloops Senior Village for the wonderful care they gave Marion.
