Vida will be lovingly remembered by her family Cathy, Noreen (Bruce) and Larry (Barb) and dear friend Liz. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Elisha (Charlie), Carmen (Shad), Kelsea, Justene and Kael. Vida was trilled with the arrival of her great granddaughters Olivia and Sophia. Vida was born and raised in Kamloops, the third daughter of Kamloops Pioneers, Eva and David Power. She attended Kamloops High School and St. Ann's Academy and was employed as a lab assistant at the Entymology Lab at Mission Flats. Vida and Jack met prior to WWII and upon Jack's return from serving overseas, they began their life together, building the family home on West Columbia Street and raising their four children. Vida was an avid reader, gardener, homemaker and recycler. Mom appreciated nature and the move to Heffley Lake with all the birds and her camping trips around Western Canada were the joys of her life. Vida had many dear old friends, some she has outlived, with whom she had wonderful times. She was a kind and caring soul whose strength and love was her inspiration for us all. The family would like to thank Dr. Stefanyk, Dr. Chung and the caring staff on 3 West, Royal Inland Hospital. Special thank you to the great staff at Bedford Manor, mom loved you all very much.
