Peter Finn 1933 - 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother and uncle, Peter Bartley Finn on April 18th, 2008. Peter is survived by his three children, Debbie Bostock (Angus Benedict), Amanda (Bruce) Garrett and Brett Bostock, as well as two grandchildren, Andrew and Mollie Garrett. He is also survived by his brother Michael (Marlene) and sister Wendy (Ted) Apted, as well as nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish his memory is his first wife and mother of his children Mollie Bostock. He was predeceased by his mother Enid Finn (Pellett) and his father Eric Finn. Peter was born on June 11th, 1933 in New Westminster, B.C. He was first married in London, England in March 1955. He was a Leading Aircraft man with the RCAF - 1953 to 1956, during this time he served for a year at Gros Tenquin, France. He then returned to Canada, and settled at Ned's Creek Ranch, Pritchard. He remained active in the Air Force serving with the Primary Reserve as an Air Cadet Officer. He was honorably released in December 1963. Peter later worked in the logging industry and retired from Balco Industries. He was a real people person and was always willing to give assistance to anyone who might need it. He was very involved with the RCAF Association 883 Overlander Wing, Royal Canadian Legion, Arthritis Society, the Kamloops Garden Club and Kamloops Paddlewheelers Lions Club until his health prevented him from participating. Peter loved gardening and could produce beautiful flowers and tomatoes from the smallest patch of earth. He spent the last two years at Windsor Manor in Kelowna. A special thanks to dear family friend Ruth Husson for always being there when needed, you were a true friend to him. He is tending his plants in a peaceful garden free of pain at last. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at a later date. If friends wish, donations in Peter's memory may be made to R.I.H. Foundation
