LARRY JAMES BROWN July 23, 1946 - April 19, 2008 Larry passed away Saturday morning in the presence of his family. Larry lived his life with integrity, compassion, wisdom and great love for his family and friends that enabled him to persevere his devastating illness and live his life with quality and dignity that were important to him. Larry's family would also like to extend their deepest thanks to Dr. Ross and the wonderful care given to Larry by all the staff "angels" during his stay at Coquihalla Gillis House. For Larry, the most important thing in life was his family and friends. He worked hard along side his son, his dad and brothers to ensure that his family had a good life and watched his kids grow into adults that had their priorities straight. He was always a support, a teacher and a wise counsellor. Larry also had a great sense of humor and was always willing to share a laugh and a smile. His great passions were camping with friends and family, fly fishing and hunting and to make sure he passed on his outdoor skills to his grand kids, keeping family tradition going in life and his love for his dog, Blue. Left to cherish Larry's memory is his wife Suzanne of 37 years, his son Dan (Char), his daughter Erin (Rob) and the apples of his eye, grand kids Taylor 15 and Kelsea 12 and a grandchild on the way, his mom and dad Ann and Roy, his brother Don (Arlene), his sister Linda and sister Devey (Conrad), brothers-in-law Bill Gardner (Charlotte) and Grant Gardner (Gail), his best friend of 50 years Mike Silvey, and many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his little brother Billy, 2001. Anyone who knew Larry is invited to attend a service Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Cross Roads Community Church, Merritt, at 1:00 p.m. with tea to follow
